First off, I want to say thanks for the great comments. It is really motivating to read everyone's blog and listen to all your great ideas/stories. I'll 100% check out Sparkpeople tomorrow.
Oh yeah, I have to say the Taco Soup is yum, yum, yum! I add some more spices to it (just like the soy sauce --I'm a sodium fiend!) because I like things hot, but it can be made really mild too (my sis hates spicy food!). When I cook it, it makes a HUGE amount so me and my little sis eat it all week long. Also, if I know I'm going to be super busy next week, I make it in advance and freeze it. It freezes/unfreezes great. My mother-in-law gave me the recipe...she got it from a WW meeting so there are all kinds of variations to it.
I guess I never really thought about getting "too few" calories per day. I rarely excersise, so I guess I just figured that I didn't need the extra calories. I'll go to the grocery store and look for some low-fat yogurt and cheese tomorrow. I'd really like to get this weight loss started and if eating more helps out...*grins*...I'm all for that!
I was lazy today. Since I kind of realized from just journaling my food the last couple of days that I wasn't getting enough calories, I tried extra hard today to eat a little bit more. I ate cereal for breakfast instead of just drinking juice. I had 3/4 cup of Honey Bunches of Oats (trying really hard to keep myself portion conscious) with 1/2 of 2% milk. Lunch was cheese raveoli with a garlic/basil pesto. Not exactly healthy, but I once again stayed true to the portion size instead of eating gobs and gobs of the pasta (which I SOOOO could do with raveoli!!) Dinner was very tastey, but not so good for me. I thought it would be fun to make my own pizza. My little sis had never done it before, so we went to the store and bought a pre-made pizza crust and some green peppers and onions. I had cheese and peperoni at home all ready. Like I said, very tastey, but I definately ate too much of it =0) I've seen several posts about how yummy turkey peperoni is, so after this package of regular peperoni is gone, I plan to pick some up. Is there a big taste difference with the lowfat cheeses? Or does it melt differently?
I ask this because the little sis I keep referring to is really skinny. I mean, so skinny that you'd almost love to hate her (especially since we generally eat the same foods!!), but I still get to love her cause she is my sis =0) I don't really want to cut too many calories/fats out of her diet (we almost always cook our meals together) because I don't think it would be too healthy for her to lose weight.
I've been bad today. I didn't go to the gym, which is sad (my legs hurt from that crazy gazelle) and I drank 3 diet cokes instead of drinking water. Funny thing is, I'm really thirsty now. Maybe I'll go drink my water bottle now. hehe. That will help me get up early tomorrow to go to the gym. LoL
My happy thoughts for the day...
--I had to give a presentation at school today and after I was done the teacher told me I had done a good job. She is the kind of person that doesn't lie or offer praise if you've done poorly, so I'm excited about that !
--As a "bribe" to my class, I made chocolate chip cookies. I didn't eat any cookie dough or any of the cookies that I made (even though they smelled SOOO good!). I didn't even lick the extra dough off my fingers! It is a small victory, but one I am proud of.

Congrats on your NSV's (Non-scale victories)- not eatting the cookies or the dough! ;)
Your meal plan for this day sounds much beter!! I still have issues when it comes to portion sizes, my eyes are always bigger then my gutt but I always feel the need to clean my plate! I need to work on that still! ;)
I'm curious - how old are you?
Yeah, your daily menu is looking much better now. Try to eat smaller meals more often if you can. For example, eat a piece of fruit and a string cheese stick 1/2 way through the afternoon so you wont be so famished for dinner. Also try to eat a snack between breakfast and lunch. I eat about 5 - 6 times a day. Some people say they don't like to eat between meals, but I think for dieters that's self-defeating because it just makes you hungrier and want to gorge at your next meal.
