What am I doing wrong?

Okay, I know this might sound odd, but what am I doing wrong?!?! I feel like I'm eating a lot of food. The amount of food I'm eating definitely fills me up, but I'm really struggling to get to 1200 calories. I think tomorrow I'll eat another egg at breakfast --but that is only an additional 30 calories-- and maybe I'll try to drink a glass of milk with my snack instead of water, but I still feel like I need more calories. I literally forced myself into eating the first two snacks. Of course, I didn't have to force myself into eating the McDonald's cone. *giggles*

I may be "off" on the calorie count for the fruit and veggies. I took the stats from sparkpeople, but it is for a 1/2 cup serving. I think I should be fairly accurate, plus or minus 50 calories. Which, I guess doesn't make me too far off of the 1200 goal. I'm just really frustrated at the moment.

:) Calories were a little low for me today too. I was a bit under 1200. I think you would benefit for sure with a glass of milk in there somewhere - or maybe even some high fiber, low fat bread. I have found my new friend to be toasted tomato sandwiches. Hmm.

Hey there...long time no comment :)

My goodness that is a light menu! I thoght you were a vegetarian until I saw the dinner option...

One thing I do is eat some kind of nut for a mid-day snack...almonds, walnuts, etc...They can add some serious calories and fat, but it's the healthy kind...Don't go overboard, but they do the trick in small amounts...

The breakfast seems very light to me...I try to eat a large bowl of healthy cereal (Kashi) and some whole fruit (blueberries in the summer...yum!) Get the calories in the morning and you will burn them off during the day and not feel as hungry for the ice cream cone...

Last tip: I noticed you're watching the fiber intake. It's not the most healthy thing out there, but Fiber One bars give you 9 grams of fiber in a bar and they taste pretty darn good...Not the most healthy thing out there, but if you're looking for a snack with some redeeming qualities and a lot of fiber...

If only I could be content sticking to 1200 calories! I don't think your calories are too too low, but maybe adding a bit more carbs would help.

That sure looks like a lot of food. A diet that is very filling! Good work!
